Responding to the lack of social activity since the pandemic, Be with you in spirit / Sampai kita jumpa lagi are words used in absence of an individual in an occassion and hopes of a reunion. The light text scribblings are captured using long-exposure photographic technique and set against the artist’s in-progress batik paintings as its background.
*Sampai kita jumpa lagi in Malay translates as “till we meet again”.
